Quick-Setup Kitchen Tools Checklist

Setting up a kitchen is a critical task in most real estate transitions. TVG Strategy offers a humble list to keep things simple in the functionally efficient kitchen that is most effective. Here's a list of quick-setup kitchen tools to make your transition easier!

Some essential knives to have are a 6" serrated, a slicing knife, a chef's knife, and one for pairing. You'll also need a magnetic knife strip to store them. Metal or glass bowls that are all the same size are useful, along with a big pot for boiling water or making stock, medium and large sauté pans, a little pan for sauces, and a Dutch oven. You only need one or two lids.

Other necessary tools include a plastic and wooden cutting board, dish towels, twine, parchment paper, six sheet trays, a spider strainer, a ladle, plastic quart containers, a squeegee, an oven mitt, and a Sharpie and roll of painters tape tied together with twine. A 6 quart electric pressure cooker is also recommended.

For spices, make sure to buy rosemary, sage, parsley, Hungarian sweet paprika, green cardamom, cumin seeds, chile de arbol, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and fennel seed as whole spices. You'll also need a mortar and pestle. Freeze stocks in zip lock bags so they lie flat and have kitchen twine, salt, pepper, canola oil, coconut oil, black sesame seeds, and extra virgin olive oil from Italy.

Other items include small tasting spoons, clean side towels, a multi-timer, a food mill, wooden spoons, a juicer, a food processor, a can opener, a COSORI Electric Gooseneck Kettle, Hario V60 Paper Coffee Filters, and a Hario V60 Ceramic Coffee Dripper Pour Over.
